Published in the National Business Review [NBR] since March 2002, the series identifies companies which fire our imaginations or make us re-think what’s possible in our industry.
The series was designed by New River for, and in conjunction with, NBR. The idea behind it was to look at companies business people feel are doing exceptionally good things – and to drill down into the detail of different industries to find them.
How it works is CEOs and business owners from an industry per month are interviewed on the industry conditions and on the most exciting companies.
An excitement index is used to rank the most exciting companies; this index is based on the work of top psychologists from around the world. The top companies are then interviewed by an NBR reporter and a story is published in the NBR to its 100,000 + readers.
